Why client work stays private.

It belongs to the client.
The code, the accounts and the records are in the client's name from the day they exist, so showing any of it is their decision, not ours.
It holds what they would never publish.
Customers, prices, margins and staff live inside it. A single screenshot would give some of that away.
It is part of how they compete.
Often the system is the reason a client works faster than its competitors. Publishing it would teach them how.

So we name no client, and describe no system closely enough for anyone to tell whose it is. When the work is yours, the same holds.

Mek Sense

Money decisions in Guyana, worked out before anyone signs.

Mek Sense answers the money questions people in Guyana face: what is left of a salary after tax and national insurance, the true yearly rate of a loan or a hire purchase, how much house an income can pay for, and what there is to invest in. Ask in your own words and the assistant runs the right calculator.

  • Every rate comes from a published source, with the date it was last checked, and the page says so when a figure is more than ninety days old.
  • The assistant never produces a figure of its own. Every number it gives comes from the same tested calculations anyone can run.
  • Each result is a link that can be sent to someone, and the preview in the chat shows the answer.

TaxQuarter

UK sole traders and landlords send their quarterly tax updates straight to HMRC.

From April 2026, sole traders and landlords in the UK with income over £50,000 must keep digital records and send HMRC an update every quarter. TaxQuarter keeps the records, adds them up in HMRC's own categories, and sends the four updates and the year's final declaration.

  • Every sign-in asks for a code from an authenticator app, because HMRC's rules ask filing software to report how each person proved who they are.
  • Each call to HMRC carries the sixteen fraud prevention headers the law requires, and HMRC's own validator finds no errors in them.
  • Money is kept in whole pence and every deadline comes from HMRC, so nothing is rounded or guessed on the way.

Counter

A till that keeps a shop selling when the internet drops.

Counter runs on the phone, tablet or computer a shop already has: the till, the stock, the cash drawer, customers on credit and the day's figures. Every sale is saved on the device first and sent to the shop's account when the connection comes back.

  • A sale never waits for the internet. It is recorded on the device the moment it is rung up, and a second device picks up the same shop when the line returns.
  • Customers who settle at the end of the week have an account with a limit, and every charge and payment is kept against their name.
  • Each person signs in with their own PIN, and the audit log keeps every sale, payment and price change with who made it and when.

FlatTest

Backflow tests are recorded at the valve, and each report is ready the moment the test is saved.

In much of the United States, the valves that keep dirty water out of the public supply must be tested every year. FlatTest is for the small firms that test them.

  • The screen asks for the readings that kind of valve needs, with buttons large enough to press in work gloves.
  • A test is kept on the phone as it is typed, so a dropped signal loses nothing.
  • Customers are reminded sixty, thirty and seven days before each test is due, and again if it goes overdue, in the tester's own name.

Habla

Two people with no language in common, talking through one phone.

Tap, say something in English or Spanish, and a few seconds later the other person hears it in their own language, in a natural voice. The language is worked out from the words, so nobody has to choose one.

  • About five seconds from letting go of the button to hearing the translation, with every line kept on screen in both languages.
  • Its Spanish is the Spanish spoken in Cuba: tú, carro and celular, the words the other person uses.
  • The conversation stays on the phone. The server keeps timings and sizes, never the words.

A spoken briefing every evening

At half past eight it gathers the day from every system, writes it up in plain words and sends it as a voice note, with what needs attention first. When a run fails, it says so instead of going quiet.

Forty-one public sources, read every two hours

It reads government notices, tenders and the news, scanned pages included, and keeps every item with its history. Anything urgent arrives at once; the rest waits for the morning digest.

Ask a question in plain words, such as what was agreed about a delivery charge, and it answers with the date it was decided and the note it came from.
