A software practice in Georgetown, Guyana
We design and build the software a business relies on every day.
Once that software is in use, it holds a business's records and counts its money, so we give one spreadsheet the same care as a system a whole company works in.
Before anything is built, we learn how the work is done today, including the parts nobody wrote down.
We also publish research in mathematics. Our programs have added new terms to four entries of the OEIS, the reference mathematicians use for integer sequences, and Google DeepMind's open library of unsolved problems includes three statements we wrote or corrected.

- If something is not worth building, or someone else would build it better, we say so before you spend anything.
- Ready for a bad day
- We plan for the day a laptop dies, the internet goes down, or the one person who understood the system leaves. When it happens, nothing is lost and the work carries on.
- Everything is yours
- The code, the accounts and the records are yours from the day they exist, and you can take them elsewhere whenever you like.
- Tested on your own data
- Nothing is handed over until it works with your figures and your documents.
Stratum ICS
Stratum is the word geologists use for one of the layers of rock that the ground is made of. ICS stands for Integrated Core Systems. Together, the name describes what we build: the systems a business stands on, often without noticing them.
Registered in Guyana as Stratum Integrated Core Systems.
