Habla's front page: the headline Talk across English and Spanish, on one phone, beside the app's screen with a three-line exchange, English to Spanish, Spanish to English, English to Spanish.
Habla on a phone mid-conversation: three lines, each in both languages, the last being read aloud in Spanish, above the Talk button.
The front page replaying an exchange recorded through the app, and the app on a phone, mid-conversation.

Tap, say something in English or Spanish, and a few seconds later the other person hears it in their own language, in a natural voice. The language is worked out from the words, so nobody has to choose one.

Kinds of work: Custom software

  • It takes about five seconds from letting go of the button to hearing the translation, and every line stays on screen in both languages.
  • Its Spanish is the Spanish spoken in Cuba: tú, carro and celular, the words the other person uses.
  • The conversation stays on the phone. The server keeps timings and sizes, never the words.
