Get every video on a YouTube channel in a spreadsheet, with views and dates

YouTube Scraper reads a channel's Videos, Shorts and Live tabs and returns one row per video with its title, link, views, publish date and length. Turn on full video details for exact likes and comments, the date to the second and the full description. It needs no YouTube API key, and there is no daily quota to run out of.

What you get

A channel's pages show rounded views, such as 6.9M, and dates such as 2 months ago. With Get full video details turned on, the tool opens every video and records the exact figures. In our tests, a list of 1,000 videos took under a minute, and about five minutes with full details.

Each row is one video. The channel also gets one row, with type set to channel, giving its subscribers, its total views, its number of videos and the date it joined.

To find videos on a subject rather than from one channel, the same tool takes search terms. YouTube stops a search at about 500 to 600 results, so split a broad subject into narrower terms.

title, url
The video's title and its link.
viewCount
The number of views, exact with full details on, otherwise YouTube's rounded figure.
likeCount, commentCount
The exact numbers of likes and comments, with full details on.
publishedAt
The publish date, to the second with full details on, otherwise an estimate worked out from text such as 2 months ago.
durationSeconds
The length of the video in seconds.
isShort, isLive
Whether the video is a Short, and whether it is live now.
description, tags
The full description and the creator's tags, with full details on.
channelName, subscriberCount
The channel, and its number of subscribers as YouTube rounds it.

How to run it

  1. Open YouTube Scraper on Apify (opens in a new tab) and choose Try for free, then sign in or create a free account.
  2. Under Channels, paste the channel's link or its @handle. Several channels can go in one run, one per line.
  3. Under Channel tabs, keep Videos, and add Shorts or Live if you want those too.
  4. Set Maximum results per input to at least the number of videos on the channel. It counts each tab separately and goes up to 20,000.
  5. Turn on Get full video details for exact views, likes and dates.
  6. Choose Start, then Export, and download CSV, Excel or JSON.
  7. To collect new uploads, turn on Only new videos (monitoring), name the monitor, save the input as a task and schedule it daily under Schedules. Each run then returns only what the channel has posted since the last one.

What it costs

Videos cost US$0.50 per 1,000, and full details add US$1.00 per 1,000. The channel's row costs US$0.002. So a channel with 1,000 videos, with full details and its channel row, comes to US$1.50.

Without full details, the same list costs US$0.50. Removed and private videos are skipped and never charged.

These prices are read from the tool's Apify page every hour, and that page always shows the current ones.

Limits

  • YouTube hides dislikes, so they cannot be collected.
  • Transcripts and captions are not included.
  • Comments are a separate option, at US$0.50 per 1,000. Turn them on only when you need them, since each commenter's public handle comes with them.

When another way is better

If you write code, the YouTube Data API is free within its daily quota and lists a channel's uploads 50 at a time, with exact views when you ask for each video's statistics.

For your own channel, YouTube Studio's analytics export to a spreadsheet, with figures no outside tool can see, such as watch time.
