Local Content Certificate applications and renewals
For Guyanese businesses that supply the oil and gas sector, or rent to it.
If an oil and gas company buys from you, the Local Content Act only counts your contract toward their Guyanese quota when you are on the Local Content Register. Filing is free. What stops most businesses is the file: eighteen documents for a company, in a set order, several of which expire while you are collecting the others.
You stay the applicant and the information stays yours. We do the assembling, the checking and the chasing.

What we do
- Write the cover letter to the Director in the form the Secretariat asks for, on your letterhead, with a line accounting for anything not submitted.
- Build the organisational chart, dated and signed, with the first and second tiers of management and their nationalities named.
- Fill in the employee details in the Secretariat's own Excel template.
- Order, name and check every document and every date against the current requirements sheet before anything is sent.
- Tell you in writing, once, at the start, exactly what is missing.
- Upload the file through the portal, or hand you a ready folder if you would rather do that part yourself.
What changes for you
- The file goes in complete, in the Secretariat's order, with every document in date.
- You know what is missing on day one, not when the application comes back.
- We keep your renewal date and get in touch before it comes round, so next year does not catch you out.
What we need from you
- A valid GRA compliance certificate.
- A valid NIS compliance certificate.
- Your Declaration of Beneficial Ownership, stamped by the Commercial Registry within a month of filing.
- Your most recent audited financial statements, if you are a company.
- Your signature.
How it is priced
Quoted per application, in writing, before we start. A sole trader's file, a company's file and a renewal are different amounts of work. Filing with the Secretariat is free and we add nothing to it.

What we will not promise
We do not promise a certificate. The Secretariat can ask for more information at any point, and says so on its own requirements sheet. What we promise is a complete, correctly ordered application, and if it comes back for something that was ours to get right, we fix it and refile at no charge.
